Manifestation journals are an increasingly popular way to connect with your desires and utilize the law of attraction. Just as the name suggests, a manifestation journal is a journal you use to (gasp!) manifest. Though it’s definitely not necessary to manifest, writing your intentions and desires down onto paper can help you to feel more motivated and encourage you to attract your desires.
By writing down your intentions, you’ll have something physical to grasp on to. Sometimes, trying to manifest what you want can seem difficult and out of reach, so it may be helpful to keep your desires down on paper to remind you that it’s only a matter of time before they manifest into physical form.
The first step to starting a manifestation journal is to choose a journal. Whether you decide to use a blank journal or find one with prompts that’s dedicated solely to manifestation, it’s important to find a journal that ignites positive emotions when you look at it.
While shopping for your new journal, try asking yourself some questions if you’re drawn to a specific journal. What draws you to this specific journal? Is it the color? The pattern?
Once you have your journal, make the intention to use it solely for manifestation. Don’t clutter your manifestation journal with other things. Your journal should be used for one thing, manifesting. You can also choose a specific pen to dedicate solely to writing in your manifestation journal and give it the same intention.
There is no set way to using a manifestation journal. You get to decide how you journal. Do you prefer to journal like a diary? Or do you prefer to decorate your journal in bright colors and cut out pictures of your desires? Try experimenting with different techniques to see which way works best for you.
Tips for beginning a manifestation journal
There are many ways to use a manifestation journal. You can use your journal for manifestation methods, such as the 369 method or the 5×55 method, or you can try scripting, which is essentially writing an entry describing what it would be like if you already had what you want.
Wondering what to fill your manifestation journal with?
Manifestation Methods
There are many manifestation methods out there, from the 369 methods to the 5×55 method.
Manifestation methods can be a great way to enhance your vibration and the attraction to your desires. They can be helpful in speeding up your manifestations.
Affirmations
Affirmations are a great way to help get you into a high vibrational state. Not only do positive affirmations help you to focus on your desires but they also help to bring forth positive emotions which raises your vibration.
When using affirmations, try to keep them short and sweet and always in present tense. (Example: I have… or I am…)
Scripting
Scripting is similar to writing a diary entry except you are writing of what it would be like to have what you want.
For example, if you were manifesting a new car you would write about the day you got that car, as though it already happened. (Example: “I walked into the car dealership and saw the car of my dreams! I bought it and felt so happy when I drove it for the first time…”)
Try to describe the emotions you would feel when you have your desires.
Manifestation Journal Prompts
Journal prompts are a great tool if you feel stuck on what to write about. There are many different prompts you can use depending on what you wish to manifest, but here are a few examples.
- What makes you smile?
- What are your deepest desires?
- If you had zero limitations in life, what would you do?
- What does your dream life look like?
- What are some aspects of your life that you would like to improve?
Make a Gratitude List
Gratitude is one of the quickest and easiest ways to get into a high vibration state which aligns you with your desires and makes it easier to attract what you want.
When you focus on what you are grateful for, you send out the message to the Universe that you would like more of that. The Universe then responds to your thoughts by bringing more of what you are grateful for into your life.
For example, if you’re grateful for the money you have, the Universe will find a way to bring you even more money. Same with love, happiness, experiences or things.
Focus on the good in your life and the universe will bring more of it to you.
Draw Your Desires
If you’re a creative person, try your hand at drawing your desires rather than writing them.
Writing is powerful, but so is creating art. When you draw what you desire, you are placing energy into what you are doing. Art also has a way of causing us to feel things. When you look at a happy painting, you feel happy, and if you look at a negative or sad painting, you feel that too.
Draw what you wish to manifest or draw how you would be like having those things. Would you be smiling and filled with excitement? Or would you feel relieved and grateful? Bring your awareness to what you want and watch it manifest into your life.
Decorate your journal with pictures that remind you of your desires
Just because it’s a manifestation journal doesn’t mean you necessarily have to write in it.
You could always just cut out pictures of your desires and glue them to the pages. You can draw, write affirmations or doodle in bright colors. Do something that makes you feel good when you look at the pages.
In the end, a manifestation journal has infinite possibilities. You should never feel restricted or wondering if you’re ‘doing it the right way’. Whatever feels good to you is the right way. Do you feel best when you script? Or maybe doodling helps you get into the manifestation flow.
Try out new things and see which one ignites the spark of joy within you. It really doesn’t matter how you decide to use your journal, what’s important is that you feel good doing it because, more than anything, that’s what ultimately attracts your desires into your life. Feeling good.
