If you’ve been studying manifestation and the law of attraction for a while, you may have come across something called the void or the void state. From first glance, this seems ominous but it’s really not as scary as it sounds.
The void state is a powerful tool anyone can use when it comes to manifesting their dreams into a reality. But what exactly is it?
What is the Void State?
The voice state is a space of awareness that is achieved through meditation. This is a space where nothing and everything exists. The void is a realm of infinite possibilities where there are no boundaries or limitations.
While in this state, you have the ability to manifest anything you desire because you have surpassed your conscious mind and the boundaries and challenges it often brings.
What often holds us back most during the process of manifestation is our own negative and false beliefs. Even though we want something, we don’t get it because we don’t believe we can have it. Either we don’t deem ourselves worthy or we feel that it’s not meant for us, so we watch from afar, wanting but never having.
There are no limiting beliefs in the void
The void state is free from these limiting beliefs. When you are in the void, there is nothing, no thoughts no beliefs, you may even feel as though you are floating. Reality merges with dreams and everything becomes one. The void state is a place where you enter back into a state of oneness with the universe.
The void is the absence of the ego, or the sense of self we have developed in life. Your beliefs vanish and you connect with the universe. When in this space, you have all the tools you need to manifest whatever you desire.
Manifestation can often seem as though we are grasping for tools in order to build the life we desire, or it can feel as if we’re lacking something which is preventing us from achieving what we want.
Like painting a picture, we may feel we’re missing certain paintbrushes or colors to create a wonderful masterpiece.
The void provides all of that. Every paintbrush and pigment you can imagine. Any tools you need already exist. Or perhaps, they don’t exist at all because in this state your desires are already there.
When you are in the void state, you enter a place of higher consciousness where you are no longer bound by physical reality. It’s an incredible space which can help you to manifest and aid you in your spiritual journey. So how do you get there?

How to enter the void state
Meditation
The quickest way to enter the void state is through meditation. Through meditation, you disconnect from your thoughts and come into a place of stillness. You no longer align with your thoughts and define them as ‘you’. You become aware that you are not your thoughts but the awareness behind them.
By being able to detach from your thoughts, emotions and ego, you find yourself in a space of emptiness and oneness.
Before you go to bed
When you’re drifting off to sleep your brain waves slow down, which makes it a perfect time to enter the void state.
Slow down your breathing and fall into a gentle breath. As you drift off to sleep, try and stay aware of your thoughts and imagine yourself being disconnected from your body.
Affirmations
Affirmations can help you to ‘trick’ your brain into focusing or believing something else. By affirming that you are in the void state, your brain begins to align you with those affirmations and make it a reality.
Subliminals
Subliminals are another great tool. If you aren’t familiar with subliminals, they are affirmations which are tuned down with music or noise over it. You won’t be able to hear the subliminal affirmations as you would normal affirmations, but this is done on purpose.
Sometimes, our conscious mind blocks out affirmations, so by making it so low that we are unable to hear them, our conscious mind is unable to block them out.
Although you can’t hear them, your subconscious mind still picks them up. These subliminals enter your mind as your conscious mind is distracted and can help to induce the void state. It’s best to listen to subliminals during bed time as your mind begins to slow down. This can help speed up the process.
Whether you’re affirming, using subliminals or meditating, when entering the void state many people find it helpful to stay still. By staying still in a single position, the mind is able to more easily disconnect from the physical body. A useful way of doing this is by lying down in a star position with your arms and legs stretched out so they’re not touching one another.

Why is the Void State so effective?
Many of us don’t realize just how much power our thoughts have. We are constantly focused on a million different things at once and our attention often jumps from one thing to the next. We focus on our problems rather than our desires, and this can make it difficult to manifest a good life.
The reason the void is so effective is because in this state, there are no doubts or problems or worries. If you do decide to bring problems into the void, it’s often to manifest a solution or focus on reversing it into a positive situation. When we are free from limiting and negative beliefs, it is much easier to manifest what we desire as well as make new discoveries in our spiritual journeys.
What Does it Feel like?
Many people describe being in the void state as though you are floating. You feel light and as though you are drifting off to sleep while still being consciously aware. If you’ve ever entered a light sleep where you’re somehow still aware of your thoughts, chances are you were in the void state.
The void state has also been described as a space where you know you’re asleep but you are aware that your mind is still awake.
What to do in the void state
Congratulations! You made it to the void state, but now what? You’re floating in the space where everything and nothing exist. You can do anything you desire to do. Many people use the void state to manifest their desires, shift their realities, engage in shadow work, reverse limiting or negative beliefs, or simply reflect on themselves.
It’s not as difficult as it sounds. When you’ve managed to enter the void state, the hard part is over. If you desire to manifest something, simply set the intention and focus on it. During this state, your intentions and focus are amplified, giving more energy to what you want to create in your life.
You can spend the time in the void state to meditate and contemplate, embarking deeper in your spiritual journey. You can ask questions and receive answers. If you don’t receive an answer right away, you may wake up in the morning with the answer in your mind.
If you’re working on shadow work or reversing limiting beliefs, focus on these challenges or problems and see them being resolved in your mind. Twist the negative into something positive.
There are infinite opportunities while in the void state and you get to decide what to do. It may take you a couple of tries before you reach it, but once you do, you have infinite opportunities to change your life. There are many tools and practices to help you out, just make sure to find the best ones that work for you.
